Julia Innocente-Jones, College Director and Principal of UCIC and College of English (CCEL), also expressed her enthusiasm for the trip, stating, "this was a bucket list chance for a wonderful group of individuals, with varying degrees of knowledge about New Zealand, to come together and see firsthand the delights of our beautiful country and amazing city."听
She emphasised the collaborative effort of UCIC and CCEL and UC in creating an unforgettable experience that firmly establishes New Zealand and Christchurch as a credible option for international students.
鈥淒uring their stay, the agents had the opportunity to experience the vibrant atmosphere of Christchurch, including participating in our annual Graduation Street Parade through the city centre. They shared that 艑tautahi is a beautiful city, and attending UC provides international students with an ideal environment to balance their studies and enjoy life,鈥 Thomas says.
The agents engaged with UCIC staff, explored the UC campus, including its state-of-the-art facilities and halls of residence, and gained valuable insights into the supportive environment offered to students.听
They also engaged with UC staff from the Faculty of Engineering and the UC Business School, fostering meaningful connections and deepening their understanding of the academic excellence and innovative programmes provided.
"We feel privileged to have welcomed this exceptional group of education professionals," Innocente-Jones said. "Though we were saddened by their departure, we鈥檙e excited for them to share their memorable experiences with colleagues, students and their parents."
